I woke up this morning crumbled up on my couch... my contacts dry, stiff, and clearly still attached to my eye balls; hair frizzy at the ends from my forgetful mind failing to properly wrap it up (ugh!); and my latest book club read, "Something Borrowed" tossed over my lap. (S/O to the ladies of BLUSH *Book Lovers/Bridging Literacy Uniting SisterHood*)...I had been reading for the better part of the night, drifting off, and awakening at 9 am to chapter 19 and by 9:45 I finished...YES. the book is just THAT good, I couldn't put it down (cliché yet true). Now, I'm not really a 'book review-er' or anything, but I felt the need to tell you about this little pink covered bestseller.
Author Emily Giffin takes us through the mind of a newly 30 yr/old 'good girl' Rachel, who falls into a mess of a situation, after sleeping with her best friend Darcy's fiancé. The thin line between right and wrong is discussed as a long time friendship is tested against new love.
Don't worry, I haven't given anything away but the obvious -back of the book- summary. It is still definitely worth a read... and I'm excited to find out that there is a movie being made at this very moment based on the book, due out in 2011. Yay! Kate Hudson plays Darcy, and Ginnifer Goodwin (whom I'm not really familiar with) stars as Rachel. Im so excited! Has anyone else read this book? Share comments below! :) But I can't be responsible now for details leaking! xoxo-SBG
