I love it when art and fashion collide! This is one of the reasons I began to blog...to showcase this special mixture. Therefore, of course I was excited to discover Diane De Maria, Parisian painter and now accessory designer. This beautiful Fall'09 handbag line was inspired by the shape of De Maria's grandmother's handbags from the 1920s and the works of grandfather, surrealist painter Pierre De Maria. View a few works below and make sure to mark your calendars for Oct. 24, 2009, as she will be the featured artist for MELLOW NIGHTS, a bi-monthly gallery opening event combining fine art, live music, and massage therapy at Mellow Massage Therapy Center in East Falls, PA.
